Meaning of 场景
Definitions from CC-CEDICT.
- scene; scenario; situation; setting
How to use 场景
场景 is used for scenes in films, books, and games, and also for real-life situations or use cases, as in 使用场景 (shǐyòng chǎngjǐng) usage scenario. Example: 这部电影的开场场景很感人。(Zhè bù diànyǐng de kāichǎng chǎngjǐng hěn gǎnrén.) The opening scene of this film is very moving.
场 (chǎng) is a place where things happen, like in 广场 (guǎngchǎng) plaza, and 景 (jǐng) is a view or scenery. Put them together and you get the view of a place where something happens: a scene or setting.
Common mistake: Learners often say 场 with a second tone, chǎng is third tone here, so both syllables are third tone and the first one changes to a rising sound in speech. Also do not confuse 景 (jǐng) with 京 (jīng), which is missing the 日 on top.
