复苏 is a formal word used most often for economies, markets, industries, and nature in spring. It can also describe reviving a person, as in 心肺复苏 (xīnfèi fùsū, CPR). Example: 经济开始复苏了。(Jīngjì kāishǐ fùsū le.) The economy has started to recover.
