内部 can describe the physical inside of an object or building, or the internal side of a group, like a company or organization. It often comes before another noun with or without 的. Example: 这是公司内部的消息。(Zhè shì gōngsī nèibù de xiāoxi.) This is internal company news.
内 (nèi) means inside, and 部 (bù) means a part or section, as in 部分 (bùfen). Put them together and you get the inside part of something.
Common mistake: Learners often write 肉 (ròu, meat) instead of 内 (nèi). In 内, the inner stroke is 人, and 肉 has two 人 shapes inside. Also keep the fourth tone on both syllables: nèibù, not nèibu.
