关联 is a fairly formal word used in writing, news, business and technical contexts to say two things are linked. It often appears as 与……相关联 or 有关联. Example: 这两件事没有关联。(Zhè liǎng jiàn shì méiyǒu guānlián.) These two matters are not related.
